President’s Words

“When I arrived to Canada on January 14, 2010 I felt derecognized because I didn’t know anyone, I didn’t know anything and even worse I didn’t know anyone from my community. I felt strange, alone and lost.
I then started looking for Moroccans in the city where I live, Windsor Ontario, and since then I have met several Moroccan from our city. Today we are about fifty Moroccan families who know each other, connected to each other, we visit each other, attend events together such as the celebration of Aids Al Adha and Al Fitr, family gatherings, sometimes for no reason just to get together which allows us to speak our dialect , eat Moroccan dishes and share beautiful moments together between laughter and stories.
We also help each other when needed, we exchange ideas and opinions, we travel together, we have coffee together. We definitively created a Moroccan life in Windsor.”
